I’m really surprised that hadn’t happen already as they are owned by Yum Brands which i believe is based in Plano. They also own Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.

That means it will just be Plano chicken.

The advertising loves to say they are Nola but the food just sucks.

Back around 2004 and my son lived with me, the local KFC had a 9 thigh deal for $10.00. I would get a couple sides and that was a serious meal.
A buddy would come over to join and he brought the beer.

The KFC's up here have all closed. There used to be one in Sherman and Gainesville. Both are closed. I go to the KFC in Denton ocassionally and it was a ghost town at lunch. One other time it closed early (5:00 PM) due to lack of help. KFC is my favorite too.

The first franchise location...

Worked there in the late 90's. They moved most of their offices and data centers to Texas decades ago. But the President over KFC pushed back hard about keeping their HQ in Kentucky. Felt they were embedded in the community and owed it to Kentucky to keep a footprint there. I guess dollars and cents finally overrode the sentiment.
