Anything below 55* is too cold. I have the right gear for the cold, but it still sucks. One of these days I'll be able to be on a beach January-March and won't have to put up with it unless I choose too.

Another truth. Solution, do not work outside when it is that dang cold.

Extreme heat and bitter cold both suck, question is which is worse when the wind is blowing hard or no wind at all?

To me, bitter cold with a stiff breeze sucks worse, no wind I'll take the cold.

Me and the mutt when it was actually -2° and -8° wind chill back in Feb of 2021.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if it never got below 40⁰ again

I will choose below freezing over 100° every time. I don’t like being cold. If i’m dressed right, I enjoy getting out in cold weather. 6’1”-190 lbs. 64 years old. Not carrying extra weight. Heat used to not bother me. As I’ve aged, 100° weather wears me out.

My feelings exactly. Hot weather just wears me out, but just and extra layer of clothing for the cold.

We used to do an annual early Jan bow hunt in north OK. One morning, it was zero degrees on the nose. Even when dressed for it, I learned that was my limit. If I'm dressed properly, I'm just fine with the cold. I used to have no issues with extreme heat either, but as I get older, I find I don't tolerate much over 105 very well anymore, and anything over 100, I'd really rather be indoors.

I have worked outside my entire life. I hate the cold! High humidity plus a strong north wind is miserable!

I do not complain about the heat. Over 100° some precautions need to be made. In the 90's is no big deal to me. I will work on whatever I want to when it's hot weather. Today, it's so cold, I'm going to prep rifle brass for three different orders because the bench is in an HVAC shop, with insulation. I've got a trailer project going on in the big shop, but I'm going to put it on hold until it warms back up.

I love the cold. Growing up in South Texas and now living North, I love being able to do some work outside without drowning in my own sweat!
Actually did a few hours heavy work last-nite after dark while this weather was blowing in - layered up just right and a handwarmer pack inside each glove on knuckle side my fingers stayed toasty!
The icicles on my moustache/beard was kinda funny though!

I've never like the heat above 90 even when I was skinny and in shape... hate it now that I'm fat and out of shape. Love a cold crisp morning without wind but today's weather sucks. I feel for anyone that has to work outside in this wind.

In my neck of the woods the wind chill is currently -5 degrees. I'll pass.

It’s 19 degrees here at the moment. Don’t even know what the wind chill is. I just spent about an hour working outside. Probably I didn’t dress warmly enough because ‘I won’t be out there long’. I shoulda rethought that. Definitely had some body parts retract… grin

Tolerating today by sitting in front of my fireplace while the wife has been cooking all morning.

Took a 45 min trip to my hayfield to put corn in feeders. Ended up cutting up some oak wood for my fireplace.

I don’t mind the cold because around here it only lasts a few days…

The dog days of late July through August with days on end of 100+ degrees and no rain get to me more. Everything is dead, ponds dry up, it’s just miserable…

I prefer cold over hot but as I get older I tolerate both less. Now when I get cold it is hard to get warm.

I do not care for the extremes either way, but I absolutely LOATHE the extreme heat.

I'll take cold over heat any day.

How well do I tolerate the weather?

I remind myself that each block of "weather" is temporary, and what I prefer will come back around.

I love Autumn above all others!
The smell of Halloween and Thanksgiving, falling leaves and hot coffee in the morning on the porch makes me so happy.
I love Autumn, and I tolerate everything else.

Oh, and I love the smell of a thunderstorm coming, and the feel of snow hitting my face!
It's glorious.

...!

Weather doesn’t bother me. Summer can be hot and humid but here in Texas we have LOTS of air conditioning everywhere.
Winter rarely gets frigid. When it does I keep the feet close to the fire.

The remainder of the year is gorgeous.

Use to cuss the cold but now I really hate it! I have Raynauds syndrome and that adds a new spin on things, loose blood flow and nerves shut down in fingers/hands in cold. Can't feel fingers to put gloves on and you won't realize how cold fingers are getting and the fun of regaining feeling takes awhile. Got to love getting older.

Retired now, but I used to work indoors.

Driving to work in cold weather was never pleasant. It seems I'd be over halfway there by the time the heater in my car actually started blowing warm air. And then, just walking/jogging in from the parking lot was painful (sure, I could've layered up, but then I'd have to shed all of the layers as soon as I got inside, put them in a locker, and try not to forget them when I left).

In hot weather, my car's air conditioner would start blowing cold almost immediately. And I never gave the short walk to and from my car a second thought.

Even now, given the choice, I'd opt for extreme heat over extreme cold any day. The heat just doesn't really bother me.

I can’t stand the cold. I can’t keep enough clothes on to be able to do my job, and I can’t keep enough lotion on my hands to prevent them from splitting and bleeding.

Summer time is when I shine. If you see a pasty white dad bod shirtless wearing shorts and boots mind your own damn business
