I hate the cold. I always have. I could tolerate 100+ temps far easier than sub freezing. Add wind to the cold and I'm not getting out these days. Now, I can't deal with the hot or the cold. Cold bothers me more as it makes my fingers and toes hurt. If I'm moving when it's cold I'm OK. I played golf the other day when the first of this front blew through Saturday. I bet it took me 3 hrs to warm up.

You can always put on enough clothes to stay warm, but can run around stark naked and still be hot.

Im the same way. I hate to be cold but it doesnt keep me from doing anything. Neither does the heat but I tolerate it better.

Agree. The cold is invigorating. Heat is oppressive. A few years ago we visited one daughter, in Miami, in July. They can have that BS.

I could tolerate the heat when I was younger, but the older I get the more I like cold weather.

Exactly. If you are cold in the winter it’s because you don’t have the right gear. Except when it gets really F’n cold

For me it depends on how cold. If I’m relatively active working on something I don’t mind cold to a point but it can go too far for me. Lived in south texas my whole life I don’t mind the heat so long as I can sweat. I hate being dressed up for work etc and sweating my but off.

I ended up in the ER over heat in my mid-20’s. Couldn’t really handle it nearly as well after that. I was all about the cold weather. Now I’m in my mid-50’s and cold is starting to bother me now. I don’t know what I’ll do in another 10 years.

You probably had a heat stroke. The effects linger and the heat will continue to affect you more in the future.

I have cold weather gear. will be out in it tomorrow by choice. Heat sucks

I had an overheated thing at work so now I get overheated easily. I love the cold.

I don’t tolerate it well. Cold is miserable. But you gotta deal with it.

I get cold these days. When I was in my 20s, I rarely even wore a jacket.

I tolerate the cold pretty well. When the picture below was taken of me, it was -6 and I was not uncomfortable at all. My only problem is that I take a Beta Blocker and since it reduces circulation to my hands and feet, they do get cold easier. And more susceptible to frostbite. The day of that picture I got a small bit of it on the tip of my nose and one of my finger tips that I am sure I would not have if not for the medication.

I worked outside pretty much my whole life, I rather have a hot day than a cold windy day like today any day.

Cold is tolerable, but cold with strong winds just suxs. Working outside give me heat over cold any day.

I really enjoying living in North Texas but get real tired of cold/wind, lucky we really on see it in January and February

As I age, my tolerance for hot or cold weather gets worse. I do like low 30s though. Anything under that sucks.

Crisp, cold mornings in the pheasant patch are wonderful, even with snow…..throw in some wind and they stuck. Make it wet and the suckage increases ten fold.

I'd rather work in 10° than 100°.

Is it okay to not tolerate the extremes on either end? With that in mind my ideal temps are 35 - 85. Would love to live in that range year round seasonally.
