Delta crash reported at Canada's Toronto Pearson Airport | LIVE

Quote
Canadian officials say that there was a plane crash at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday afternoon.

The plane crash, which involved a Delta flight from Minneapolis to Toronto, was first reported by CTV. Peel Regional Police says that it is investigating the number of potential injuries, which are unknown as of now.

Pictures across social media show the plane upside down on a snow-covered runway. Toronto Pearson confirmed the crash on X.

Probably skidded, rolled over, tore wing off.

Looks like it came in to hard. Right landing gear snapped which caused it to roll and flip.

Think I'll pass on flying, odds are shrinking

There are turds on social media blaming this on DJT for firing FAA workers. TDR is real.

Dang! Hard to believe there were no fatalities and minimal injuries. He smacked the asphalt out of the runway, though. Sensors probably registered a small magnitude earthquake after that "firm landing".

And I just read an article on Yahoo trying to do the same. Don't these idiots realize Toronto is in Canada? And flights there are controlled by the TCCA? hammer roflmao

Plane waiting for departure captured cockpit video of crash. Probably have to watch the commercial, I didn’t save it on fb or x.

Yep, sure looked like the pilot's rate of decent was way too fast with a late or too little flare.

Wind gusting at big differences in speed and direction can definitely have an effect. It can turn your nice airplane into a brick when in a landing configuration. Pilots are trained to get out of this or execute a go around and try again. A minor lapse in judgement at a critical moment though can lead to such an accident. I'm not saying that's what occurred but a possible scenario.

Most of the fuel on those is stored in the wings so when they got ripped off the fuel stayed behind.

there are plenty of good high wind airliner landing videos out there from the UK.

Some of them would be fun to be on, some not so much...

My first thought as well. For what ever reason(s) speed and rate of decent WAY too fast.

Looked more like the pilot was trying to land on the deck of a 'carrier' than on a runway.

Greg Kelly, previous fighter pilot, and Newsmax host said the landing looked a little hard but not bad enough to cause that crash.

Apparently hard enough to collapse the right side landing gear (if the video is any evidence).
