Yeah there isn’t a lot of info on them as far as reviews go (too new I guess). I was intrigued by the versatility of it throwing corn and protein but was a bit concerned about the lack of reviews. I talked to All Seasons and they are pretty excited about the feeder and they listened to my concerns and assured me I would like it. I also talked to a couple of the dealers (Llano Feed and Mason Feed) who said the Corn Pro was getting popular and so far no customers were sorry they had purchased it.
So I was down to the Lamco, the Green Go and the All Season and decided to take the plunge on the Corn Pro as I am pleased with my other All Season feeders. I went with the 1000 lb one as I figured I had gone this far, what is another $250! Setup was dirt simple, my neck fusions love how all the connections are at the top of the feeder and no more crouching down to adjust the timer etc. Converting from corn to protein is a simple matter of undoing a wingnut, sliding the baffle up and retightening the wingnut in the closed position hole.
Just a couple of minor gripes I would not call the 1000 pounder model a “stand and fill” unless you are Wilt Chamberlain, I had to use a small stepladder. I am sure a taller younger feller would have no problem though. The compartment that holds the battery timer etc is conveniently located at the top, but it also is located right where you fill the feeder. So if you aren’t watching what you are doing, you will bury your components in corn/protein etc.! there are no drain holes in the compartment so you gotta scoop it out. Drilling a few drain holes in it should easily remedy that problem.
I don’t have much to say about the durability so far as I have only had it two weeks and it is 225 miles away in Gillespie county. I watched it for two days while I was down there and it performed flawlessly. The land owner is going to keep an eye on it for me and will let me know if it clogs up etc. So far he reports it has been working great. Moisture of course is a big concern as it does not have a rain sensor, but they have not had any rain to speak of down there. Was also concerned that antlered bucks might have an issue sticking their head in the feed area but the land owner said it had not been a problem. Hope that helps.
