One is getting married tomorrow, so I’m in Flower Mound for that craziness. Rehearsal dinner at the Hard 8, which I’ve mentioned before. That seems to be mostly under control. But then I hear that my youngest granddaughter is upset with the US Mail because her birth control pills got lost on the way to NYC. Well heck, that’s news the women never shared with me. She’s dating some beady-eyed clammy-handed kid from NJ. The wife says he’s nice, and good looking, but still…

I control nothing and know nothing, which isn’t anything new. Hep me Lord…

We had the rehearsal dinner at the Hard 8 BBQ, in or near Flower Mound. The BBQ was very good. The sliced brisket was excellent. Good BBQ sauce. The beans, which seem to be below par at most places were real good, and their Mac and Cheese was real good. That place is huge.

It was an Ok evening.

And about the other granddaughter, I’m fine with her choices. She’s old enough to make her own decisions. Kinda surprised me though- that birth control pill thing. Just another example of the women sharing some, but not all information. That info was TMI.

I wouldn't either but, a judgemental call out helps nothing. As the father of three grown daughters, each of whom has turned out quite well, I can attest to the fact some day there may well be some guy you don't like, pounding somthing of yours and there ain't much you can do about it. Not everybody deals with it in the same way. Personally, I am not worried for or about 603 nor his family.

The getting-married granddaughter’s natural father is absolutely worthless. Always has been, which is why he got kicked to the curb. I told everybody that if he walked the GD down the aisle, I would not attend the wedding. I hate the guy. That did cause an issue for a bit, but the stepdad solved it. He went on-line and in short order became an official reverend. I didn’t know you could do that. So he’s gonna perform the wedding. The scum-dad will walk her down the aisle. This is something else the women did not want me to know. I might not have come, and they knew it. Wimmin…!

I wonder if SiL wants to be called Reverend. He is quite religious, but this is just weird.

On a side note, the wife and I really liked the look of Flower Mound. We could live there and be happy. But my Lord, the traffic is insane. I want to go home to the country.
