Kinda like this one. Shot with a rifle in the early 70's. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-63244-445372-img_3870.jpg)

That's the kind of [censored] that will turn some people against hunting period. Don't be cruel idiots.

I once still hunted in on a sleeping fox, quietly grabbed an arrow (without ever taking my eyes off the fox) and proceeded to shoot the fox. It wasn't until after that I realized I had accidentally grabbed an arrow with a field point. That taught me to never carry anything but broadheads while hunting. Never found the fox of course.

It’s ashame that these criminals are referred to as hunters. They are low life scum bags. When they are caught they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke

Bow hunting is a bit less precise than gun hunting. Years ago I snuck up on a doe, and it was to easy. The deer saw me but just stood there. The poor thing had an arrow protruding from her rectum. She was too wasted to move. I shot her. Made me sad.

My daughter shot a deer that had been shot in the face. We later heard that a hunter thought it would be cool to head-shoot the buck with an arrow and was unsuccessful. Idiots

Article highlights reports of deer shot with practice arrows, some hit in the eye. My guess is they were shot by mischievous kids with no supervision. I say that because a deer hit in the eye with one of my arrows, that arrow is not gonna be stopped.

"Archery hunters" don't hunt with field points or try to make headshots.

That's the kind of [censored] that will turn some people against hunting period. Don't be cruel idiots. I did like that the anchorman made the final clarification. "There is hunting, and then there is illegal hunting" I just wish they would have referred to it as Poaching, because that's what it is.

Sounds like some jackwagon kids (or young dbs) with too much free time. Hope they prosecute to the fullest extent.
