I thought I’d take some inspiration from Geedubya and post some of my knives on here periodically. I mostly have folders but there are some fixed blades sometimes.

This is my newest addition and what I have in the pocket today. Spartan Harsey with Nichols damascus.

Those are fancy. Make my current favorite edc (para 3 lw) look boring in comparison.

I've got plenty of "boring" knives too. At one time I had a massive Case Sodbuster collection which is about as simple as it gets. I like variety though.

This was the Case Sodbuster collection I had a couple of years ago before I sold it. I wouldn't doubt it was one of, if not the, most comprehensive collections of that pattern from Case of anyone in the world. I had almost every version they ever made. I don't even want to guess the time I but into scouring the internet, ebay, forums, facebook pages, etc... to build it. It was fun to build but started to become less fun and more of a obsession so I sold the entire thing off.

That is an amazing collection. How many years did it take to ocllect all of those??

During the late 60's and early 70's I carried a Sodbuster.

[Linked Image]

These days its usually an inexpensive assisted opening lockback carried tip down.

Don't hurt so much as leaving a nice one sticking in some thing located 300 miles from the house.

Nor sticking your hand in your pocket when carried tip up and it is open.

Awesome collection of sodbusters. For many years I carried a yellow handled Eye Brand Sodbuster Jr. Perfect pocket knife. Amazing carbon steel blade that you could actually apply a razor edge with a good stone and leather strop. I believe they are no longer made in the "Jr" version. Eye Brand still makes the full size version but not nearly as handy for gutting and skinning as the old Junior. Always appreciated the looks of other sodbusters such as Case, but the Eye Brand was much thinner in the scales and perfect for a jean pocket. If you've ever held one you'll know what I mean. Sorry no pics, just good memories.

I don’t think I ever had one of those. I had quite a few sodbusters from others brands but don’t think I had an eye brand. The thickness of the Case models depended on the scale material. The bone ones are much thinner than the synthetic or wood handles.

Not as long as you’d think, a couple of years to gather them up. Case didn’t really start making many different variations of the sodbuster outside the yellow and black until 2010ish so that helped. They’ve leaned more into it as a regular model with a lot of handle variations since then and seem to be doing more and more each year.

It is still a nice simple pattern that is very useable which is what makes me like it so much.

Cool pictures as usual!

Here’s a wild one. This is definitely more of an art piece than something meant to be used hard but it was so unique and mind bending in photos I had to try to get one. It is a Heretic Medusa auto so a very well built American made knife in itself but the unique part on this one is the cerekote. It is hand done cel shading which give it the unreal, comic book look. Even in person it plays tricks on you.

That Heretic is trippy. Pretty interesting paint job on that. I’ll try and get a pic of some of my folders.

Using my tactical butter knife on a bagel this morning. It’s actually a really handy kitchen knife. D2 steel and super sharp for a butter knife lol
