We go through quite a lot of eggs maybe 5dozen or more a week for parts of the year. I don’t believe they have been the same price for 4 years.

We’ve had laying hens for about 10 years now. Definitely worth it..

This makes me think of city slickers and milking the bull. That’s a rooster.

It was the closest thing I could find on the internet. I’ve never understood why people have roosters to begin with unless you want to breed chickens or fight them. They are right up there with dogs that won’t STFU in being annoying.

I enjoy their crows and they are pretty. We’ve had a number of roosters over the years, none of them make it long. The first time they try to spur me they get smoked.

I grew up on a chicken farm with 20,000 laying hens. Still like eggs but absolutely hate chickens. I don't care what the price is i will never own chickens. Only good chicken is dead and fried on my plate. Also now i know DT wants Canada - egg prices today at our local wally mart is $2.89 for dozen large or $7.29 for a tray of 30.

Local growers are getting $3.50.
I think Aldi is at about $4.00

It's not worth .50 to get them from the neighbors.
I don't understand what all the hub bub is about.

What they eat, and consequently what you’re eating.

Don't hate on chickens, it's not their fault they're tasty.

How they have made it this far in history is amazing.

Ain’t that the truth.

1-2 scrambled every day, not including the ones used for other cooking.
