I’m around $285 a month. 40yo, no wrecks in 19 years none of which were my fault, never had a ticket, no DWI’s. They take into account where I work (Dallas) and where I live, miles driven per year 28,000-32,000. Nothings cheap anymore.

Last year, my wife and I were paying $177 a month for full coverage on 2 vehicles. Added a 16 year old daughter and a 3rd car (mama got a new one and daughter got her old one) and our insurance shot ups to $496 per month.

Just added my 16yr old daughter yesterday, new driver with a 2010 Honda CRV that Grandma gifted her, is $1850/6 months. That's after discounts for me paying 6 months at a time, auto billed on credit card, good student discount and because she did a parent taught driver program, she'll have to take Defensive driving to earn another 10% discount.
My soon to be 21yr old is $3500 every 6 months but he did have a couple fender benders that insurance got to cover.
Both of them are on top of the two cars the wife and I have at $2300/6 months.

How’s her driving record? And credit score

$1,200 / 6 months…we raised our deductible to $2K to get a much cheaper rate.

53 yrs old, '18 Silverado and '12 Camaro SS, both full coverage with $750 deductible, I currently have one speeding ticket on my record from almost two years ago, $150/mo. My daughter is about to start driving, I am scared to see what she'll add to that bill.

Yeah it sure seems either some of you are lying about your driving record, you have really bad coverage (meaning way too low deductible and stuff), or have really bad insurance company.
We went thru this recently, with three kids all driving age, one boy. We just got all of them off our insurance as the last two married away this year. We have three cars between the wife and I, and each kid had a used car as their starter, never paid what some of you are paying for just two cars. This is definitely one area you can get screwed pretty quick on if you do not have someone looking out for you or know how to look out for yourself.
If you have more than 1000 in savings account, no deductible should be less than 1000, and that alone is a 30-40% savings on monthly premiums usually. These 100 and 200 dollar deductibles are a sham, all intended to raise the monthly premiums, and that is how the agents make their money, in the premiums. I know there are some insurance agents on the forum, but I think the insurance agent gets around or above 10% of the premium, some companies may pay more.
