Going to take a buddy out to lunch tomorrow for his BDay somewhere around north Lewisville to Denton area. Searched Googley for Chicken Fried steak and Cowboys Restaurant, Lake Dallas American Restaurant looks like they have a good one. Went to their website, clicked on menu tab and a screen opened that wanted me to open the pdf below to view the menu. Okay called the Lake Dallas location to verify menu, no manager there, called the Sanger location and the manager said they do not have a website only FaceBook, told her I was looking at it. She got on Google and low and behold there it was, a bogus website with their address and phone number, she said they do not have a lot of food that is on that website. Cannot be to careful these days!

I have had their CFS. It is a solid 6 on taste. It is a 9 on price, aka good value.
Fried okra is good.
Service is fast.

I eat at all three of those. For CFS dinner Roosters is prob your best option. If you're looking for breakfast go to Cartwrights.

Checked Roosters web site out and it is mainly a BBQ place that serves a lot of other good food, looking at the picture of the CFS it did not have that you got to come down here and get ya some of this to it. So we went to Cartwright's Ranch House on the square, we have eaten there before and I liked it, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Dayum forgot how big their CFS was, it was tender, moist, crust and flavor all good, the only way it could have been better if the meat was about 1/8" thicker. I eat at Cartwrights at least once a week. Hard to go wrong there and that is a good looking plate of food - glad you enjoyed it.

Stub look up Walter's Tavern in Lake Dallas. He's working out of a mobile food kitchen while he rebuilds the restaurant in front. Has covered and enclosed patio in back. Won't go away hungry.
