This was my thought as well. T/C clutch is not locking up smoothly. IF the issue goes away with an application of lubegard....then the diagnosis might be borne out (need new T/C at least).

yup

I had that in a truck that I whacked the drive shaft on a large rock. You would think that it would shake at all rpms/speeds, but it had rpms where it was fine and others where the harmonics caused shakes. Just a possibility

When the answer is known and the problem fixed, I’d like to know what actually was at fault.

A call to the service writer at the dealer is free. If he’s good, he’s probably already familiar with this issue.

Buddy of mines truck doing the same thing. Turned out to be drive shaft seal and bushing. Is it leaking oil at all?
His was more of a vibration than a shake though.

Update- the torque converter was bad. One of the planetary gear had gone out, and caused additional wear on the transmission. So, a fully rebuilt torque converter and tranny is $8300+! We plan on keeping it, so we'll get it repaired!
