I have never see them hunting on public. But the local community ponds below in Dallas, they are there every year. The show up like Dec every year and leave during spring. They been doing that for as long as I can remember. So if you ever want to bird watch them and take photos of them, it’s a great spot.

The flats south of the JFK causeway used to be a magnet for those things back when I guided down there. I'm sure it's different by now. I even shot a greater scaup sculling the flats in front of Snoopy's. I ended up having him mounted next to a lesser I shot on the same day. Those are fun birds to hunt.
