You deduced this assumption based on what?

Gas is always high in California.

People live their for reasons other than affordable gas.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Based it on common sense. Everyone has a breaking point. $6 is already high. $10 is a breaking point

It sure won’t help the situation.

This BS is why - https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/03/richmond-california-chevron-oil-00176922

The oil companies should all leave and then hit Cali with a surcharge for petro products.

'Gonna be a great "environment" in the bay area. No jobs and no one can afford to live there. Stupid idiots.

I was wondering when Chevron would decide to shut their refineries down. My youngest daughter used to be a Process Engineer at Richmond. She just mentioned that PBF, formerly a Shell refinery, blew up a Reformer a while back and is thinking about not starting the refinery up again.

A big factor, in addition to the restrictive laws, is that the cost of each employee is extremely high out there.

And shutdown every gas station within the city limits. That or just pass that surcharge right on to the consumers and explain why at every pump.

And you would think they would get the hint as to why they are having to move, but the political reasons never seem to sink in and they just bring the political wreck with them and destroy our state as well
