It’s sure satisfying to me to compete projects. Some people are okay doing things well enough to kinda work but it would drive me insane knowing it wasn’t totally finished.

Place looks good, trapper. What type tree is that next to your stand in the second to last pic? Mesquite?

That looks real good. Built a deer stand for a friend last year. This year gonna build one with the grandkids this summer. Working on several projects now fixing to add a couple more. up

Live oaks. I have done my best to rid the place of mesquites. In the thick woods I will occasionally find one though.

Thanks. It looks fairly small for an oak. Closets thing we have to that would be post oaks, but they can get really big here. I like the small compact size of the live oaks there. At least they look small. We're just covered in 100'+ tall pines. I can't stand them.
