WTH is up with all the people parking against traffic? I almost took off the kid down the street's door as he sat with his lights on and passenger door open, I couldn't see I was blinded by his headlights how I missed that person and the door is a wonder they better buy a lotto ticket it was that close. If I had hit that door it would've cut them it half.

Everyone here parks against traffic. They just park whatever way they are going. It doesn't bother me, but in your situation I can see where it could be unsafe.

I don't see a problem with parking against traffic, but sitting there with the lights on isn't right.

I actually think it's illegal in a lot of places. I've seen folks get tickets for that.

I don't like it any more than the idiots that go the wrong way in the Walmart parking lot. And yes, it is generally illegal to drive on the wrong side of the road.
Pass the gravy.

I know someone that got a ticket for that a long time ago. The ticket was for parking more than 18 inches away from the curb. Away from the correct side.

A friend hit a car parked facing the wrong way years back. His insurance told the offending parker he wasn’t gettingjis car fixed unless he paid himself.

I don’t understand it either, but a lot of people do it. Ignorance or idiocy, take your pick.

In some jurisdictions it depends upon if there's a curb and gutter, or just roadside and maybe a ditch. Curb & gutter — illegal to cross the street & park facing traffic. YMMV depending upon local ordinances.
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

The reason it’s unlawful in most cities is because the rear tail lights are also reflective. The headlights aren’t. At night the reflective tail lights are easily visible to the other drivers.

It's illegal and dangerous. You can't see oncoming traffic if a car is in front of you. Our police ignore it. No enforcement.
