Long story short, USPS left a note that my mail is being withheld because my box is too short. Mine is 42.5” and the USPS site says 41”-45”, yet the people at the post office insist it has to be 47”. To top it off I measured 5 other mailboxes in the immediate area and all are the same height as mine yet I saw mail being delivered to one of them……just another “here we go again”!

Some drunk hit mine and some other boxes one night and I had to replace mine with new post. I checked height requirements and I'm about 1 inch shy of max height.

Around here if they strictly adhered to the requirements, nobody would ever get mail!

They do whatever the hell they want. There is zero accountability within that useless organization.

Never seen a group of guys who had such issues with USPS, Fed Ex or UPS

I live on a Farm to Market road. Not allowed to install my own mailbox post. I have to wait for TXDOT to do it every time mine get's run over. (3 times in 10 years) Just ask me how fast an efficient those guys are?

I think there must a notification out of the DPS accident report system anytime a sign or mailbox is hit.

Or he was the only one on the block getting spam mail from the RNC.

I saw a guy lose his stuff at Post Office in Carrollton last week! They called the cops on him and he was escorted out of the building with a quickness.

That’s what I did with FedEx. If they use them as their common carrier I buy from someone else.

You must have pis*ed off the carrier, that's the only person using the box. Have a talk with them when you can catch them and show them the regulations.
Carrier may have got a different vehicle and now things don't lineup.

USPS is well known for their ineptitude, but this is obviously his fault, somehow.

I did butt heads with the local postmaster (or is it postmaiden?) when they effed up a rifle a couple years ago but if that’s it they sure waited a long time.

Print off the official site guidelines, make an appointment with the postmaster and have him or her explain why y'all's area is different...than the whole country.
