I really like the concept of this hunt. Unfortunately, I'm now believing hunters are rigging the contest and cheating to win! I know they have safe guards in place which I feel are being exploited. With the amount of money being offered I feel it was only inevitable. The reason I say this, if you look at the last couple of years, the winning monster sized hogs are coming in on the last days of contest. There are some nice hogs taken throughout the contest, but nothing close to the winning hogs. My bet these monster hogs are being pen raised, release and hunted on small controlled tracks of lands. They can call it a fair chase hunt. Why aren't there exceptional or winning hogs being killed early or midway through the contest?
As I said, I enjoy reading about the big hogs being taken and I hope there's no cheating. My gut says there's a lot of it going on.
Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!

We’re in it again this year. Been tracking several big ones for a few months also, hopefully they keep showing up.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
