Classic Winchester Featherweight .270, believe only 1000 made. Leupold Vari-x III , 3.5 x 10-50mm scope. Both in flawless, like new condition. Wife’s gun and she pretty much babied it. Padded Boyt Gun case, sling and slide on rifle rest. Retiring from hunting. Corsicana area but willing to meet in a reasonable distance. $ 1200.00

What's your source about the limited production of this Winchester? I have the same one,
good Ole backup gun I had for years. I purchased this one in early 83 new.

Shoot safe....

Yeah, I was wondering the same, I bought a new one then, .30-.06 from 1983 too and there were hundreds of them at the stores I shopped at. BTW, they are the Model 70 XTRs, mine is a Featherweight. This was shortly after Repeating Arms had taken over production of much of the Winchester brand line; if you're telling me, you have one that was still the "actual" Winchester manufactured line before transition to Repeating Arms, that may be a plausible statement or your one was a "limited" line/model production maybe, but I'd like to hear your proof on either as visually it appears very standard of Repeating Arms production of them at that time. Also, if true, you could be selling it for quite a bit more $$$$ than you are, btw., they have a pretty good intrinsic value without being "limited production but with it, a very desired value I'd assume".

I can’t tell from the pictures, Is it a push feed or controlled feed? What year was it manufactured?

Looks like a push feed, but not sure.

I’ve got to go along with the limited production on that Winchester featherweight. I have five of those rifles two in 257 Robert’s, 7mm Mauser, 270 Winchester and a 280 Remington. That said there all great rifles and well worth buying.

The pre-64 Model 70’s were control feed and are considered by many to be more desirable even in the newer models.
Remington Model 700’s are push feed. I own both and never had a problem with either type.

It would be nice if the OP would respond to questions on the rifle he’s offering for sale.

I believe that if it is a "Classic" featherweight that it is a control feed and not a push feed.
