I got a cheap entry level night vision scope. I’ve hunted under green light up to now. I mounted the scope on my suppressed 350 Legend. This boar came in around 1000 and the night vision worked great. Attachments
Nice. I have a AR I'm looking for a cheap NV scope to throw on it. What scope are you using?
Cheapest I'd go is the Sightmark Wraith. They are about $400 when they go on sale. Work very well within the limitations of digital night vision.

I still got two of the original ATN X-Sights from about 10 years ago when they first came out. Just had them on the range today. One of them still works great. The other one will occasionally shut off when you fire a shot.
Actually reason I joined this forum was because there was an active discussion about the X-Sight, and I was starting hog hunting at my cousins places in TX.

Thanks I have maybe 150 yards open for about 90% of my places to hunt it’s pretty thick.
The problem with the cheap digital night vision is that it doesn't work well in the thick stuff. Reason is you need an infrared illuminator, which is basically a flashlight you can't see with the naked eye. Any brush between you and the target will shine light back at that sensitive digital camera and wash out the picture so you can't see what's behind the brush.
If you are hunting thick stuff you want to go thermal.
