Anyone been? Just tried calling. No answer. I saw somewhere where they advertised, and I quote, "Craft cocktails," then I saw their specials on Bud Light and Fireball shots. roflmao

Well, we just got back. It was better than we expected. The food was good. I saw them putting a lot of work into the buildings before they opened. 'Met the proprietor. He's the guy that built the Bowie's Valero on the north end of town and then sold it to Short Stop.

The bartender didn't look old enough to be a bartender, but she assured us she knew how to make martinis, and she did. 'Cept they were way over poured, not that I'm complaining, and they didn't charge enough. $6.00 and $8.00 for call booze. 'Didn't taste watered down. I told the very pretty manager lady they weren't charging enough for those kind of drinks.

There's a large outdoor area, with a small band stand. It could turn into something, but...they're gonna have to run the locals off if they want to turn a profit, pay for bands on the weekends, etc. The ne'er-do-wells were starting to saunter into the courtyard as the sun went down; the type that sips on a beer for an hour and a half and smokes. You don't make money of those folks.

I wish them well. up

You’ve inspired me to give it a whirl.

I’ll be up that way next week
