We had a HSI national gang unit agent who rode with us every night and he could just look at someone and tell if they had come from Mexico or South America. He was Hispanic himself and he said their heads were shaped differently than anyone born here. He was always right at picking them out too. I couldn’t do it.

We had a HSI national gang unit agent who rode with us every night and he could just look at someone and tell if they had come from Mexico or South America. He was Hispanic himself and he said their heads were shaped differently than anyone born here. He was always right at picking them out too. I couldn’t do it. Makes sense to me. There’s a certain metric that I use to determine people deserving a place in this country or not, but nobody wants to hear about that.

Not a gang unit agent but have always been pretty good at this myself. There are some noticeable differences 90% of the time.

Not a gang unit agent but have always been pretty good at this myself. There are some noticeable differences 90% of the time. I wasn’t good at it but I could tell if someone was addicted to a controlled substance and exactly what it was.

You can do the same in the middle east, but the easiest way is by their accent. Terps were invaluable at helping to separate the locals from the interlopers.

You just carry around one of those Sherwin Williams samples and if we're darker SW2200 we gotta go?
