The administration projects the buyouts could ultimately save taxpayers up to $100 billion a year.

"The government-wide email being sent today is to make sure that all federal workers are on board with the new administration's plan to have federal employees in office and adhering to higher standards. We're five years past COVID and just 6 percent of federal employees work full-time in office. That is unacceptable," a senior administration official tells Axios.

They need to get back to the office.

I don’t know why I’m bothered by the 20k remote American workers living in Mexico City.

When my eyes open every morning, it's maybe the 5th thing that goes through my mind. "Trump is President and kicking azz!" clap

The SEC Managers are having to start going back into the office in Ft. Worth third week in February. My friend knew it was coming but its going to suk for him. This will probably convince him to retire. He's 72 and loves his job. Makes bank with great benefits. Been there 25 years after his time as a judge and prosecutor for Dallas.

6%? That's pathetic.

I will say one thing…he’s filling promises and doing exactly what he said he was going to do. Not something we’re used to people in politics doing.

I worked 2 days a week from home pre-Covid. Retired now, but my friend is much younger and still there and she just called me freaking out about having to go back to the office full time. I had to remind her that Covid is over and there’s a new Sheriff in town. Then she went on a rant about Trump cutting welfare programs that people need. I asked her to name one program and she couldn’t. Again, I told her to stop watching the dishonest MSM.

During Covid I spread out each Homicide Squad to a separate library. So if one went down, we still had 3. None ever went down.

Elon Musk got rid of 80% of the Twitter work force. Found out if the employees aren't focused on ridiculous tasks the company could run on significantly less people.

I set up all my guys with administrative privileges on the computer system just for their sign on so they could use any computer anywhere and still do their jobs. The only loss was the sharing of information between them by talking about their cases. Our suspects were our victims on one case and then the opposite on the next one.

I was off only one day and was only off that one day because our office needed to be “deep cleaned” because someone that was at work popped positive for Covid. My boss is an older lady, she had stage 4 breast cancer and is in a wheel chair. She worked every day during Covid besides the 2 times she had Covid. She still refused the vax. If she can do it these people can do it. Then again she’d probably work circles around these people.

Our “deep cleaning” was the narcotics sergeant walking around with a pump sprayer of hydrogen peroxide 🤣

I'm all for government employees, but most of these places have so much fat that could be trimmed off. I swear they have people working that don't even have a job to be done.

I'm glad they're looking to clean house, it's long overdue. We need to get rid of career politicians while we're at it.

Most probably aren’t needed in the first place, nobody is going to tell me these people are “working “

I probably could have used another descriptor, but I surely understand.

We definitely need to trim the government fat, though. Being the single largest affirmative action employer hasn't helped any.

That all fine and good until one of those genius' clicks something he shouldn't...then the entire network is trashed. Ask me how I know bang Fortunately we had one network guy that had some sniffers installed and caught it before it got anything except employee data. Not a good situation and was about 20 vm's that had to be rebuilt and some employee personal data exposed on the dark web. Of course we didn't pay the ransom...

They had admin privileges for their own profile but not bypassing the firewall. There were no issues. I would describe the situation as unprecedented so everyone was doing the best they could to keep the entire machine running. If I knew in the beginning it had the same kill rate as the flu I would’ve done nothing. Even Trump was spearheading the jab so I wasn’t the only person dealing with the unknown and trying to make the best decisions with the available information.

Fed employee union is suing to stop his firing of Fed employees. His 'workaround'. We should NEVER have a Fed worker's union!!
