Finally put some tape to the buck I got back in late November. I hunted hard for this one and got him on my last hunt of the trip on the Monday morning before Thanksgiving. I've heard people talk about the elusive 140+ 8 pt, but never dreamed I'd have the opportunity to put one on my wall. I scored him as a non typical bc of the brow tines but he'd still gross over 140 w/o including the extra points. I am convinced of two things:
1. BIG typical 8s are the best looking deer in the woods
and
2. Gross inches of antler just make sense as a measurement indicator. (nets are how fish get caught)
