I know the past couple weeks were no where near the ice-pocolapse of a couple years ago, but wondering if anyone has experienced any of their Axis dieing from the recent cold?

Didnt get that cold and there wasnt any moisture to speak of.
I had some get frost bit antlers in 2021 from that rain/freeze combo, but Axis and BB all seem fine this year!!

Good to hear. I just picked up some camera cards yesterday and have several on camera in velvet. Some pics have the temp at 11 degrees some mornings. Menard County.

One of the youth guests shot a buck on my place a couple of weeks ago. The buck and a buddy were headed to the protein feeder. Not many wander through my place, but there is PLENTY of "thermal cover" when they do!

Looks like this one was born right in the worst of the cold spell. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/01/full-55403-443474-cold_weather_axis_baby.jpg)
