Looking for input on this vacation, who to book with, approx. Cost for 2 adults, where to stay, what to stay away from and what is a must see.

The wife and I flew to Calgary, stayed in Canmore, drove to Banff and Jasper, beautiful country, very nice vacaction.

Anybody do the train ride and stay in Banff? The rent-a -car was no different than in the US, we did a B&B in Canmore, you might be able to do the same in Calgary...post your experience if you go, I'd like to go back and try the train ride.

We did a two-week vacation that was booked through Royal Caribian. One week in Canada and one week on a cruise ship.
May 24th to June 6th. Dallas to Calgary to Banff To Jasper. Canada Rail Road to Vancouver, Ferry Ride to Victoria, Back to Vancouver, Transfer to Radiance Of The Seas. Inside Passage to Ketchikan to Icy Strait Point to Juneau to Skagway to Anchorage to Seattle and back to Dallas.
It was an amazing vacation. In hindsight, I wish we had gone a little later in June.
On edit: the sleeping rooms on the train are, um.......interesting. While the wife and I slept great, our friends did not.
