I've had AT&T for 30 years. I had three lines and just dropped one line. Was paying $220/mo. When I dropped the third line they reduced my bill to $200/mo. Not acceptable. Said that's the best they could do. I'd like a new provider. What do you have and what does it cost? I think AT&T has gotten too comfortable in their role. Service and price are important.

Wow, my 2 ATT lines are $110 per month. Was $80 before I added unlimited/unrestricted data.

T-Mobile, 3 lines, $130.81, unlimited. This doesn't include any phone as part of a pay out or whatever. I have always just bought a phone.

Very happy with the last two years with Cricket Wireless. Two lines/$90 a month/no limits (same coverage as AT&T).

Well when I talked to them about dropping the one line they told me the two lines would be $160/mo. When I got a $200 bill I called. I was told the agent made a mistake and didn't include the three line discount that would go away. I'm going to switch. I've been paying AT&T at least $200/mo since I started with them in the early 90's. Been as high as $260 when I was married and had 4+ phones on the account. That's at least $75k over that time. I'm not happy with AT&T. I guess they forgot about going in the crapper and being bailed out back in the 2000's.

Phone plans are a racket. Especially the ":family" plan. You'll be paying for your kids phone well into their 30s.

Switched from Verizon to T-Mobile in December and saved quite a bit.

We switched to Consumer Cellular a few years back when I couldn't get cell service in my deer blind. Service greatly improved after I switched! We have 2 lines for $55/mo. Their customer service is fantastic usually getting English help after 1st ring.

2 lines with T Mobile $99 a month. Would be $90, but we wanted commercial free Netflix. They also pay for Apple TV
We fired AT&T too. They just don't work with plans less than 4 lines. They were $130 for 2 lines.

Coverage is the issue. Sure you can switch but depending on where you go...then you'll have less service to match the price you are paying.
Don't get me wrong...AT&T sucks, but so do all the others...it's just some are better than others on coverage in different areas.

Phone plans are a racket. Especially the ":family" plan. You'll be paying for your kids phone well into their 30s. My parents are on my plan. They were paying $110 for 1 iphone and a flip phone. It went to $50 for their portion, but has gone up. I have 10 lines and it costs 350 a month... 2 are ipads.

Been on straight talk for many years. No issues. Less than $60 a month unlimited. Only thing is you bring your own phone , so you can use any unlocked phone you have already or you just buy your phone upfront. Any ya'll tride straight talk ? No contract, several options, can do auto refill.

when we looked around a few years ago, t-Mobile was the cheapest with the family plan. Verizon and AT&T were always the highest. Where AT&T stood out in the past was the coverage out in the middle of nowhere Texas. At our old deer lease in Pipe Creek, and at a place we looked at near Llano, there were places where only AT&T had signal. If you're staying in the major metro's, any of them will be fine.
Thanks, Rich

I switched from a regular ATT plan to a prepaid plan about 2 years ago. Switching was a pain but worth it for $25/month savings. Now pay $30/month.
