I inherited a couple of ancient fuel lamps. Are these generally kerosene burners?

Don't use just kerosene because it can smoke your lamp and also smell.

Use what is called Lamp Oil.

This! My folks are Aladdin lamp collectors. Bet they have 50 or more.
