So, I'm watching the games surfing the WWweb Currently I'm running an Athlon 1-6X but the reticle covers way too much of the target at distance.

Thinking about a higher power variable which starts low enough for "both eyes open" close range shooting, then a clean reticle for longer range shooting like 300 yards, etc;

It's for my AR talked about in the Rifles section.

Maybe starting a 2X or 3X? to 12X??

Of course SFP cuz at close range low magnification I don't want the reticle to disappear.
