The place we have been hunting for the last few seasons went up for sale last week. I have never had to actually find a lease before because we have always had a place to hunt. I am going to need to find a place for this coming season. From what I have read on here that is getting harder and harder to do. Has anyone ever used Hunting Locator and if so what was your experience with it? Thanks for any input.

I've heard that one is scammy, subscription based and many of those properties are long locked into leases if ever were leasable in first place, outdated and unreliable stuff. Most feel Leasehunter.com is one of more reliable but need to move quickly on those properties. Best bet is personal acquaintances, fellow hunters, friends, etc..Put the feelers out there, better to be known to be in need than not....

I agree completely. The place we are losing I killed my first buck on many years ago when I was my son’s age. My son killed his first buck there this year which was awesome. My grandmother passed away right before Thanksgiving and her children have put it up for sale. It is located in Jack County. I also had a place I hunted in Callahan County I hunted for many years until the owner died and things changed after that. Had a few seasons in Noodle as well until things changed. We should have hunted the place in Jack County more but Baird and Noodle were a lot closer to us. I have never been in the position to need to look for a place to hunt so hoping we can find something, my wife and son really love it and my daughter is wanting to get into it as well.
