We have four remaining pups (of a litter of eight) that we are offering to THF folks willing to give each of them a good home (whether they get hunted or not!). Sire and dam are out of strong hunting bloodlines from a local ranch but are not registered. Because our area has had few quail over the past couple of years, neither has had many opportunities on quail, but I've been able to put the sire on a lot of dove, and he is an excellent retriever! Dam is 2 years old, and I believe that she will also do a great job retrieving. Sire, dam, and pups have excellent dispositions; sire is very laid-back; dam is energetic!

Pups are nine weeks old today and have tails docked, dewclaws removed, received their first two vaccination series and have a clean fecal. There are three males and one female (once my bride decides which of the two remaining females stays with us). I only ask that you reimburse me for vaccinations, tail docking and dewclaw removal ($150 per puppy). One pup per household, please. PM with any questions.

Here are attempted pics of the males (getting pretty shots of these youngsters is akin to threading a needle, drunk, during an earthquake). I'm half sick right now but will endeavor to get better pics if needed.

Fair question (and one I should have anticipated).

Is the stud dog a full blood GSP?

As far as we know, yes. As described above, both parents came from local ranches that, while serious about their dogs, didn't care anything about papers (which also describes us!). The sire has a good bit of freckling, but it doesn't really show until he's wet...
