That’s a step in the right direction. Now we just need to make lever guns without a safety. Some things just don’t make any sense.

So...how much value are the Smith revolvers with the hole in 'em gonna lose?

Excellent question. Depends on whether S&W moves this to all models or not. Personally I don’t own a lock model. Big turn off for me.

[quote=RiverRider]So...how much value are the Smith revolvers with the hole in 'em gonna lose?[/quot About like the Remington Marlins, when you have one to sell it ain't worth nothing but if they have one for sale it's 1200.00.

The old S&W revolvers without the Hillary hole are the ones that will lose significant value. What’s the point of buying used at the price of the same revolver new? The model 10 without the lock has always been my favorite .38. A brand new one for what folks have been trying to sell used ones in good shape for is enticing.

I like the FPC. Good truck gun and not too expensive.

So...how much value are the Smith revolvers with the hole in 'em gonna lose? They'll lose some initially but in 10 years that hole will be a "feature" and they will be collectables. Oh, and safeties do not belong on lever guns.

I must be the only fella that likes a crossbolt safety on a levergun I think you are. That model 10 is pretty slick

FPC is a blast to shoot! ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/01/full-17497-442794-fpc.png)
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

Just saw they are coming out with 3 "Mountain Gun" models with No-Lock. The 686 looks cool. My hands are too small for a big N-Frame

That’s a step in the right direction. Now we just need to make lever guns without a safety. Some things just don’t make any sense. They make safety delete kits. I have them on both my 1895 and Rossi 92. On the marlin, it is disguised as a screw and looks factory.
