Picking up my first bow this month. When do last years models typically go on sale? Headed out tomorrow to hopefully get a Matthews most likely. Any suggestions where to shop?

Where are you located ? That’s a good start to where you should shop

Most places will do some sort of deal of last years model. Won’t be huge but still something

There's a guy on archery talk who usually does some good deals on last years models. He's not in TX but will ship.

I'll go see if I can find it. Do you have a link or maybe their user name?

Check out Scheels. They have a wide variety of bows, including Mathew's. They aren't the cheapest, but they are a great place to figure out what you want and by comparing many bows in a single trip.

Agree. Maybe you don’t end up buying there but last time I was in there they had Matthews and Hoyt. Had some others but can’t remember if it was Elite, Bear, etc. Definitely a good place to compare. Pretty sure they had a range where you could shoot them.

Some of last years could be on sale right now. Deer season winding down plus the major manufacturers already released the new-new to the major archery review guys. Lot of new bows on the shelf.

But most of those 2025 models won’t actually “hit the shelves” until the spring. That is when you will see the deep discounts.

Definitely following this. I've been shooting the same PSE for a decade. Missed a buck this season because of how loud it was. He jumped the string. I'm thinking about going to a Mathews as well. Keep us updated if you find something!

Cinnamon Creek Archery is the place to go IMO. Youre not far. They are near the Cabella's in Roanoke close to the Texas Motor Speedway.

Don't be scared to look at other brands not just the big 3: Mathews, Hoyt and PSE.

The former are typically released to the market at the end of one year or early in the following year when the latter are developed. I went to Mathews for one and if you are interested in this model, try asking local pro shops they can offer good prices and assist in the set up.
