2x4 net wire 5’ tall rolled into a 2’ circle with a t post on each side. This accept I only set it around 1 T-post so they can push it around and get to it better.

5 foot tall wire, 2 x 4" spacing, about 24" across, single t post so the deer can push it when it starts to get low.

The 2x4 net wire in 30" is good, but be sure if you have cattle on the property you have to have a border fence around the feeder to keep the cows at bay, otherwise they will wrech the feeder at least what we had to deal with few years back. I gave up on cottonseed mix, just buy it occasstion to tease the animals.....

![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/01/full-31259-443577-img_1586.png) I just dump it with corn and alfalfa. Works for me.
If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

I’ll be doing something different next year. I’m going to build a circular wire fence, on a table, and start it in the Fall. On an elevated table of some kind will keep the pigs from getting to it. About the size of a round bail of hay.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

I don’t want free choice anything available when season starts. Many others think differently.

I've got ten hoops out. Each about the size of a heaping tractor bucket. Currently they are plowing thru the cotton (especially today since we had sleet, snow this morning). I understand Hudbone's thinking, I'm trying to keep the deer in the best possible body condition post rut so when they go into growth mode the bucks don't have as much body rebuilding to do and hopefully we get a few more inches of bone on their heads. Just a personal preference since we don't have a lot of pressure on the ranch.

About the size of a round bail of hay. I've thought about doing the same thing. I was going to use a 55 gallon barrel and cut out 3 sides and weld wire fencing over openings and then attach legs just like a feeder.

How do you keep hogs away from it?
