So, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these sheep invasive and overpopulated in West Texas? Why in the heck are these hunts $4,000 and up to $6,000?????????

You included the answer in your question. The fact that people score them and want them is the reason people can charge money to shoot them. If someone were just looking for an aoudad hunt, they can find some at a reasonable price if they look hard enough. But if they're looking for a gold medal…

The good hunts are $5k and up. I’ll admit it’s a very fun hunt and quite challenging.

Finding one under 6 grand is even getting hard to find. They have really gone up in price over the years. I have seem them as high as almost 9 grand even.

Price another goat (sheep) and then the Aoudad look cheap...and the hunt/experience is very similar.

You missed my point...price the big horn and then the Aoudad will look like a varmint hunt. Big Horn is high roller, Aoudad is the Frisco version of South Lake rofl

Don’t price the DBHS hunts in Texas…… I don’t blame the landowners 5-10 aoudad hunts is 15-30k in their pocket, that’s a lot of fence work. With that said our DBHS are done until they do something about Movi and Aoudad numbers

If you want to hunt aoudads go put in the draw in NM…little over 100 for a license to enter draw and I think 350 if you draw the tag. I have a DIY hunt in Feb in Nm, on tag I drew
