I just realized that I have not hunted with a gun of any kind in about 3 and a half seasons. I’ve had pretty limited time for hunting, but any opportunity I have had never considered taking a gun. Even planned on using a rifle some this year, nope. By gun season. I switched from compound to stickbow. I can not resist it. Can you relate?

Last time I hunted with a rifle was 2000, Been hunting since 1973 with bow, gun, muzzleloader. Rifle hunting just got too easy. Only bow hunt now and love it. I'm old enough now to sit in a tree stand and just enjoy the outdoors. Shot a nice 12 in Kansas this year and still got the shakes after. Did I say I still love it?

honestly i am still at the point that I like hunting with every weapon for different reasons and enjoy each of them kinda equally. There is some hunts that i use what feels like the wrong weapon and kinda loses some of the fun (scoped rifle on a feeder at less than 100 yrds for example)
I can honestly say i get equal rush/joy from a spot and stalk bow and cross canyon shot with a rifle or spot and stalk muzzle loader

For deer and pigs yes. A stick bow is all I need. At least in areas where bowhunting is possible.
Coyotes though, any means any method.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

I need to add trapping to my toolbag. Definitely not going to dispatch a trapped animal with a arrow. It will be a .22 or maybe a club. I also want to get an e-caller to work on the coyote population around here. Probably going to use buckshot for that. Probably.

I could see myself taking the bow with the e-caller. I want to get a coyote and a bobcat with my bow.
