Hit one of my favorite public areas this morning and the Hunting Gods smiled favorably on me. Took a very rare mixed bag.

Brown Chachalaca and White Tipped Doves both of which can only be hunted in deep South TX and in the case of the Chachalaca, only in 3 counties. This will be the last time I get to chase either this season since work is going to eat up the next 7 weekends but I feel blessed to end the season like this.

Peace Y'All!

Excellent. Just came from down there and stopped at a few of the public units to look for quail. Saw a few but no luck. They were tough and were mainly in trees, which I wasn't expecting.
