I changed the thermal rifle over to a .22 Creedmoor barrel. Judd told me his 20" +suppressor barrel was 3300 fps MV. I figured 16" long would be sufficient for me. Curtis Customs Axiom Trigger Tech "Special" Bartlein 1:8 "Rem Varmint" Spiral Helix flutes by Southern Precision Rifles in Tennesse Magpul chassis A.I. mags Peterson virgin SRP brass, CCI-450, 80.5 gr Berger Fullbore Because of the short barrel, I decided to 300 yard ladder test H-4350 and H-Varget. Rounds don't scatter much at 300 yards. This was more of a chronograph search as well as finding pressure. "A" was loaded and fired for 9 foulers at 100 yards. 34°F when all this was shot. A 2856 fps B 2937 C 2946 D 2972 E 2997 F 3012 G 3013 H 3060 I 3100 My start charge was 1.3 gr less than the H-4350 start charge A 3024 fps B 3083 C 3112 D 3139 (bolt lift pressure) E 3154 F 3220 G 3213 (bolt lift pressure, ejector mark) H 3245 (bolt lift pressure, ejector mark) I 3271 (bolt lift pressure, ejector mark) Based on where shots landed on both powders, and based on what the brass was telling me, groups were shot at 200 yards. The top row is H-Varget "A" 3153 fps, ES 67. "B" 3180 fps ES 34. "C" 3212 fps ES 25 Throw out A and B. C looks good, and a nice tight group. But, I don't like the ES, and I'm on the ragged edge of too hot. The bottom row is H-4350. "G" 3104 fps, ES 26. "H" 3122 fps, ES 33. "I" 3146 fps, ES 51. I can see that H-4350 is the safer powder to go with. Making less velocity, but it is plenty of velocity for me. I decided to stay with H-4350 "H" and test seating depths. The best load of H-4350 gave me no pressure signs on the brass. 3110 fps, ES 20. Still 200 yards testing. I went to zero to that load at 100 yards. First shot .2 Mil high, .2 Mil left. I dialed in those corrections. Next shot .2 Mil low, .2 Mil right. I knew right away, it's time to clean the barrel again, after 77 rounds fired. I got the barrel fouled back in and the scope perfectly set for 100 yards. Then went and verified DOPE to 800 yards with the system. You can see on the left me truing up velocity based on where bullets impact on steel.

22 Creedmoor sitting next to .22-250. I sent this to a friend of mine that asked if I'd build him a .22-250. "No, but I'll build you a 22 Creedmoor." He said it's like he's watching an old friend die. I said I get it, I've shot .22-250 for decades. But, there's more cowbell now.

77 shots before needing a cleaning seems pretty extreme. Do you expect it to go longer between needed cleanings as the barrel breaks in?

Ok I’ll ask the silly question, what’s the difference in calculator and dope?
I think, it’s what you calculated the mils to be vs what they actually were?

Members here have successfully taken hogs and deer with it. My personal policy is 6mm is the minimum bullet size for a deer. But that does not have to be everyone's policy.

I think, it’s what you calculated the mils to be vs what they actually were? Ballistic Calculators all require the same inputs: Caliber Bullet weight Ballistic Coefficient for that bullet Muzzle Velocity Scope height Corrections in Mil or MOA I input everything correctly, it gives me corrections for every distance. Then I go shoot it to verify. My scope is not a problem, I am not a problem. Data On Previous Engagement, you must physically shoot and document. The error, has to be the muzzle velocity. I've had Garmin and Lab Radar chronograph velocities not match up to the rifle range. 500 yards and greater is where I true up the velocity in the calculator. I write down 200 to 400 yards, but don't write down 500 yards until after I've shot 200 to 400, just making sure everything is lining up like it is supposed to.

My everyday hunting rifle is 223 with 77 gr TMK, nothing has walked away from it. With that said I’m at 24” plus suppressor. He is 16” and 300 ft/s faster. My numbers at 250 yards are his at 375 yards To answer your question my 7 old daughter is getting 18” 22 CM for next year, she does well with 223 but it’s so long suppressed it’s hard for her to manage. I would add that I think fast twist 22 cal are a perfect match with a suppressor, nothing I’ve killed has reacted at the sound of the shot. I have high shoulder does dropping them, and the deer next to them stands there confused

Just curious, what kind of SD/ES are you getting with the non fireformed cases vs fireformed cases?

I've only shot virgin brass. I have 250 more pieces to go through until I will reload any of it.
Measuring five pieces of virgin brass with a head space gauge.
2.516" X 3, 2.515" X 2
Measuring once fired brass. The maximum is 2.520"
I will size then back to 2.518". ES should come down a bit on fired and sized brass. I will probably anneal this brass after every firing.

I like those numbers. I put a check in the mail today for a 16.5” barrel! Now which supressor to run on it!

I was going to have an all Flat Black rifle. At the last minute, I changed my mind. I like some contrasting colors. The barreled action is Cerakote "Carbon Gray". I like it!

looks like a winner.
On the chassis, it reminds me of the MDT Oryx, they both are a lot of product for the price.
