Man I love blackjacks...I only shoot them when the dog insists, but I love that "jet fighter over the rooftop" sound that their wing feathers make as they roar past, then a long downwind swing, bank sharply, roar back and then flare and virtually fall from the sky...over the decoys...and like I said, the dog thinks smoked ringer breast strips are one of the best things I make on the grill.

Man that looks miserable, glad I am not them. Good picture.
We have the black jacks - (dosgris) coming at us every hunt now by the thousands. Always that way late winter. They roost in the marsh and fly to the Mississippi River every morning to feed. Those blue bill hunters would pass out if they saw them. Can only kill 2 a day. I don't understand the math based on what I see.

Is this correct, incorrect, or both species?

Only heard/used for ring-necked ducks...In California, and here in Texas...
