Some of you guys will know the answer. We’ve been a victim over the years of ice causing power loss, but I don’t know how much ice build up it takes to cause trouble with trees and power lines.

I’d think it’s 100% different in each situation

For ex…your electric provider doesn’t do a good job of keeping their ROW clear

So just a little of ice could cause an issue in some places and a lot of ice in others

My weather app shows it never drops below 32 here in Dallas, I doubt we see any ice accumulation. Probably some snow flurries..

In these verses, there are dire consequences for NOT obeying the gospel. What the world claims as "saved" isn't gonna cut it! Learn what it is, in an eye opening true story, "Muscle and a Shovel", by Michael Shank.

It was horrible here and they had to run it underground because I’m so close to the lake. Some kids got zapped by power lines after a flood and the Texas legislature made my co-op run it underground. It’s the weight of the ice covered limbs that break overhead lines. If the keep the limbs cut you shouldn’t have much problem.

Many years ago north east Oklahoma had an epic freeze. It was total carnage in many counties. Power out for weeks. I saw a pile of trees on the way in to tulsa that was 100 yards wide and 300 yards long.

Most power underground in my area, at least in the neighborhoods.

We live out in the boondocks, where all power lines are in the air. Not expecting but about 0.10 “, but how much is too much. You’d think that after all the freeze events of the last few years, we’d have run out of limbs to worry about. I’m not too concerned.

Typically about 3/8" of build-up will start dropping tree limbs and some power lines (in rural settings).

That has been my experience (Deep East Texas for the last 40 years).
