Can you get a threads cut into a shotgun barrel for choke tubes? I have a mossberg 930 spx, “tactical shotgun”, that has an 18” improved cylinder barrel, I’d like to have choke tube threads cut into it so I can run a full or modified choke for varmint hunting but, I don’t know if that’s even a service that a gunsmith offers, the barrel seems to be thick enough to me but I’m not a gunsmith. I’ve tried to find a replacement barrel for it but the only 18” barrels are the same barrel it already has or a 24-26” barrel and I’d like to keep it as short and handy as possible for hunting in the brush. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Are you talking about the 20ga 2.75-3” thread? I got a screenshot of the plug for Michael Orlen, thank you!
