Took my Brittany quail hunting on the deer lease Saturday before the cold front. No quail this trip but plenty of dove.

Great looking dog and love the shotgun. I have an old fox SxS mfg'd in 1902 that I break out ocaasionally. Sure do miss chasing bird dogs.

One of my favorite childhood memories was hunting quail with my Dad and Grandad on my Grandad's farm, he had an Irish setter named (imaginatively enough) Red that was a quail hunting fool. I miss those days when quail were everywhere, and if you weren't careful where you walked you would flush a covey of quail underneath your feet so close that you would almost wet your pants.
I have my Grandad's A.H. Fox Sterlingworth SXS, sure wish I had an excuse to use it.

I used to live and love to quail hunt. Had numerous places to hunt that were close in. That Fox is 125 years old now and still performs like it was new.
