Take OT’s, that stuff is like hens teeth. Good luck machinist, not a powder I’ve ever bought or messed with.

The burn rate chart I have, has 163 powders on it.
Reloader 26 is #151 H-1000 is #152
That's a mighty slow burn rate for 22 Creedmoor. I would be on H-4350 burn rate, or faster, depending on barrel length.
If your friend wants to stay in that slow burn rate, H-1000 is available. And, one of the most temperature stable powders in production.

Reloder 26 will create higher velocity than H1000 in 22 cm. Used to be said that any powder between H4350 and H1000 would work good on a 22CM. I use RL26 in mine.

I don’t have first hand knowledge of anything slower burn than h4831sc, in the 22 Gaymoor…it was 350fps slower than 4350 so I stopped and went back to 4350. To be fair, it would’ve tested most of y’all’s “I don’t care about speed, I want accuracy” theory tho

I don’t care about speed I want accuracy has its limits at my house. 350’/s would a be a non starter for me too. I finally pushed a 260 3 full grains into the next node and it actually duplicated the accuracy without any pressure signs. Shot that damn thing slow for two years though before taking the time to find out.

If speed did not matter in a .224 caliber, then we would all be shooting 222 Remingtons. Lot of bench match records set with a 222, I aint heard of nary a one with the 22 Gaymoor

If it creates higher velocity, I would not be surprised that it did it in warm or hot weather. Because I don't trust the temperature stability of the Reloader powders. I have zero pounds of them. But I've got what I need in the Hodgdon Extreme line of powders. At home I've seen -7°F to +113°F. Temperature stability matters to me.

DStroud knows all about this RL-26
If you find some it will be expensive. Almost cost prohibitive given other powders listed above.

My SIL lives in Denton but that is still a ways apart I could probably get some over to Denton, I guess I should have asked how much he’s wanting though. I’ll have to check my inventory but I’m sure I have enough to let go of a few pounds if that’ll work. Shoot me a message if your interested and I’ll give you my cell.

I have loaded RL 26?in the 6.5 CM and it will out run h4350 by 250fps easily in the same length barrel. It is temp stable too. It shoots really good with about 47-48 grains in the CM case, kinda a mind bender but it fits in the case better than h4831 or 4350.
I would try it in the 22 I bet it goes super fast..
I have enough to load maybe 10 rounds left, look at Bruno’s they have had it but be prepared to pay..
RL16 is money too especially in the CM case sized rounds.. if you find that buy with confidence.

I've used RL26 in my 6.5CM for several years with 147's and the kickasss 139 scenar from the desert sandhills of W TX to the far NE corner of the panhandle where you can freeze your nutsackk off in a heartbeat. Nary a problem with POA/POI shift. RL22 (say it ain't so) has also done well in my 7mag with 160's in spite of what the internet says. Then again, I don't work up load in 0*, or 100* either for that matter.

Look at Ramshot powder Hunter, Grand, and Magnum

RL26 is was an outstanding powder to say the least. It produced some of the best accuracy and velocities in my 270, 7mag, 6.5x55. Down to the last few pounds of that stuff.
MAGA!

The only round I have loaded RL26 in is a 22-243, tried it off of DStroud recommendation. He was correct as usual good velocity and accuracy.

There is a reason on Hodgdon’s website they don’t show H4350 as an option for the 22Creedmoor with 75gr and heavier bullets. It’s a good option with the 62’s but there are a couple better options out there. Reloder 26 is the velocity champion with 75 and heavier bullets no doubt but there are some that come close. 4000MR / N565/ 6.5 Staball / N555 will all outrun H4350 when loaded to equal pressures. On this subject I will also note that Hornady’s data for this cartridge is of course with their own brass. Their max load for Reloder 26 with Peterson or Alpha brass is HOT!! It would ruin my brass in short order. My personal max with Peterson is 44.8gr with 80gr and you should get 3450-3480 with a 24 inch barrel. If you are getting over 3500 with 80 gr with a 24 inch barrel you are way over max pressure. I ran that speed until my load was pressure tested at 72k BUT I was using necked down 6mm Creedmoor brass as soon as it was available to reloaders. Peterson pressure tested my load at that excessive level so I backed off but with Hornady thinner brass it worked fine for about 4 reloads then I lost primer pockets. Use your chronograph to keep yourself safe and don’t believe anything off the internet 100%. Bla bla bla.
"Anyone taking up handloading necessarily plays with unknown factors and takes chances. But so does anyone who drives a car, goes to a cocktail party, eats in a restaurant,or gets married."
