I have several older mounts (10-30 years) that are either very aged or the hair is slipping due to mites. Are there any valid options other than re-hiding them, and is that even an option given you'd need capes of similar size?

I have a mount my wife inherited, it was from 12/7/1947. Had it refurbished, new cape and form. Cost more than bringing them a deer with a good cape.
