Ever hunted on one?? I did about 35 years ago. Had a friend of my brother in laws call and ask me to go. I had no place to hunt for several year prior, so I jumped at it. Never been on one and didn`t know what to expect. It was in Cristoval Texas. The guy put one of us just across a creek from what looked like the city park (literally). Another one of us was directly across from a convenience store at the edge of town and I was let out on a piece of land that was full of Barbado sheep, rocks and mesquites. I never saw a deer and one of our party did get a buck by the Convenience store. He let us stay in an old building that appeared to be an old, closed restaurant surrounded by Live Oaks that had been used by 3 horses to stay in. We shared the building with 3 other guys that he had booked hunts for. None of which killed anything. No way I would ever go on another one. I figure most of them are shot out with only a few young bucks and does if that. Basically, a meat hunt. Just someone trying to make a few busks by over promising and under delivering.

Went on one years ago as a guest, not the organizer. Out around Seymour, think it was something like Brazos River Outfitters. It was a large group of us. Our group all hunted the same river bank spread out a few hundred yards from each other. My feeder didn’t go off lol. Half the guys left after the first hunt. It was an interesting experience for sure

If you told me that guys name or Facebook page I’d recognize it He used to advertise on Facebook for years and it got to the point every time he posted guys would be commenting with their bad experiences dealing with him So much so, either he no longer posts on FB or I stopped following it But I’ve read about those same spots before from his social media posts He usually come in w some night time Axis pics advertising

Con-men without imagination.
There was one on the edge of the Comfort city limits that was posted about on here. It was comical.

I do remember that the combinations on the gates were based on historical events in time. I also went on 2 pig and Javalena hunts that I guess that you could call a day lease. They were near Cotulla (Hillje Hunting Haven) and Edinburg (Charlie White & Bobby Brown Outfitters) back in the late 80`s and early 90`s. They were both outstanding and worth every cent. Had a great time and plenty of animals at both.

Never did one for anything other than Doves.
Did have some good dove hunts at day lease places though
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Twice.
First time back in the early 80's, one of the guys at work found what was suppose to be a great two day hunt. 1,400 acres and only 14 hunters in the hill country. Turned out to be like 20 hunters and about 800 acres was a bald huge hill. First morning saw a big doe at first light and let her walk for at that time I did not realize the F upped hunting situation. After I let the doe walk I started glassing and could see they had us stacked about 150 yards apart kind of catty cornered on top of ravines.
Second time in the late 90's a co-worker who rarely hunts wanted me to go on one with him, at the time I had a place to hunt and said pass. He said he would pay my spot and really wanted me to go for he had never shot a deer and needed my help if he did. This place was a serious joke, forgot the particulars but small acreage, flat land with a lot of little mesquite, beer cans, liquor bottles and all kinds of trash in and around the blinds, needless to say we did not see any deer.
