We were over at a friend’s place for catfish this evening. He was proud to show me his DIY margarita machine. It appeared to be a beer keg with a high dollar round cooler mounted on top. Attached to the bottom of the round cooler, hanging down into the keg, was an Insinkerster garbage disposal. There was pvc circulation piping from the bottom keg to the upper cooler as a recirculation loop. And there was your basic garden faucet in the pvc loop. It could make a bunch of margaritas, and I was forced to try one. Mighty fine margarita.

Any of you guys have anything like that?

I didn’t think to take a picture, but later I looked on the internet. Lots of pictures there, along with construction plans. If the wife and I were younger and still party animals, I’d build one. Some years ago we actually did buy a margarita machine that was expensive and would slowly make 2 margaritas. Then you had to fill it with ingredients to slowly get 2 more. No way could it even keep up with demand from the wife and me, so it was worthless for parties. Gave it away.

They work well.
Be sure to buy a stainless version insinkerator.

I just go to Mariano La Haciendo Ranch in Frisco and get a Frozen Margarita there, he invented the Frozen Margarita and Frozen Margarita Machine in the 70's from a Slurpee Machine

Its been a while but I used to make frozen margaritas in our ice cream maker. They came out pretty good.
