What have you got going on?

Did some shopping because we didn’t want to get out. New Years Day we start heading back North.

Del Frisco’s will be cooking our dinner, we’re tired of cooking and cleaning.

Looks like a great place and some great eats to bring in the new year. Definitely Tuscan, how many fireplaces?

It has 3 but they aren’t operational. There’s some sort of radiator system throughout the house with a central control. It gets down to freezing at night but the days have been wonderful.

That makes me hungry. We had a guy that’d bring banana lumpia to work, it was outstanding.

Got a meaty ham bone left over from Christmas going in a pot of beans. With cornbread, of course!

No cooking New Year’s Eve going to a party to watch the Baylor game then whoever plays next. Host usually cooks some exotic animal. New years will cook a ham and some black eyed peas with cornbread.

B.E.P.'s
Started earlier today. Done now.
Dadgum tried to find some hamhocks at the stupid grocery
stores. Nothing. Every oddball crazy piece of anything meat
you could think of, but no blessed hamhocks. Even chicken
claws and heads and several different kinds of tripe and
chitlins by the red gallon buckets full. Ended up with some
overpriced neck bones that should have been $1.10 that
I had to give nearly $4.00 for. Better than nekkid I guess.
Made some dessert and that's all I care to mess with
for 2024 other than a cup or two of coffee

Everybody have a safe and Happy New Year.
Don't be stupid and drive impaired and go to
jail or God forbid hurt somebody

Had major headaches at work for last day of year so hoping for better start to new year. Escaped about 6:30 pm and happy to be home and will celebrate with shot of Crown and be pleased as all get out with frozen pizza! Was thinking about slipping out for a good salad and some calamari but raised the white flag on the day/year and happy with what I have here. Those ribs looked very tasty!
