We were invited to see it 2 weeks ago. You have to set aside reasonable thinking. Started off slow but then got better then slowed again. Just when I got interested again the damn thing ended. Little did we know it was made to be a tv series. I’ll watch the series if I can get it free.

Well, I hate to hear that. I was looking forward to seeing….when it came out on Netflix.

Sums it up

It’s actually a faith-based movie from Angel Studios. The man was the one that studied the math, the wife gambled on faith and was blessed as a result for trusting God. The teen story resulted in the boy opening up and the girl praying for him.

It’s also a setup for a series.

And no, it’s not a great movie, but it’s okay. Movies like this (The Forge, Facing the Giants, etc) need support unless you enjoy mindlessly hearing curse words or seeing two dudes screw.

But they fell into the BS woke sinkhole of having to have an interracial married couple and then the resulting interracial teen coupling.

I’m not saying that. Look at almost every tv commercial now, every new tv series, it’s like the previous years “gay” thing. They can’t help themselves!

I think generally speaking woke is anything that goes against societal norms, e.g. majority is straight so be gay, men are mostly in charge so now women are in charge, single white farm girl, here’s a black guy!

Not hating here, but there’s a reason why no one resonates with this kind of film.

People are tired of this narrative. Girl boss, interracial/gay” love”, men being mindless orcs who need to be controlled.

If that’s what Angel studios intends to produce, I’ll save my money.

Neal McDonough, the main character, plays a lot of evil villain-type roles, but is a devout catholic and family man who refuses to kiss or film sex scenes in movies/TV shows due to his religion and respect for his wife. He’s been somewhat open about his stance on his faith and political views and seems like an interesting person, as far as Hollywood/actors go.

There are certainly some takeaways from it, some that we've already seen in action. Just look how stupidly quick America created a toilet paper shortage over a couple of events. Now make it a massive event and imagine how quickly things are going to fall apart on a very large scale. Also, no matter how well you plan, there will be unforeseen problems. Another-desperate people can be insanely desperate. Stupid people won't get smarter when you put them in the crucible of bad circumstances. Strip away the first two levels of Mazlow's hierarchy and all bets are off very, very quickly.

I agree that Hollywierds narrative has been to portray white men as being Misogynist women haters, abusive to women, child molesters, unfaithful, not smart and given roles in commercials that make them look stupid. I haven`t watched any television shows on ABC, CBS or NBC for many years due to this and their liberal politics. They also put women in roles of power that they would almost never have. It seems like there`s a scene in almost every show or movie where some man is getting his azz beat by some woman in a fight. My wife used to watch Law and Order (I think) and I pointed out to her that every episode was exactly as I just described. She decided that I was correct and quit watching. If a person were to only watch commercials, you would think that every white woman was happily married to a black man and all the white men went around hugging and kissing one another and playing grab azz. Prove me wrong.
