I didn't see a date. Any idea when it was published? Love the way one of the measurements was one coffee cup of milk.

Couldn’t find a date anywhere. Three digit phone number. “Cash buyers for poultry, eggs, butter, cream, hides, wool and fur. Game in season”

I’m guessing between 1900-1920 but honestly am just guessing and haven’t a clue.

That's petty nice. I love old books like that. I did a very quick Google of the Garden City Produce Company and ended up reading a Poplar Bluff phone book dated 1915. All 3-digit numbers. You may get more info researching the company than the book. Oh, and it looks like a man named J W Shroud either started it or had a major role in it. Thanks for sharing and happy searching!

Edited to add: The man's name was Shrout, not Shroud.

We have my mom's mom's recipe book. She died when mom was 15, 1936. It also has newspaper and magazine recipes stuffed in it that Mom found. You can see the young bride, trying to figure things out by herself. Kinda bittersweet.

Pre 1920.

From google AI:

When did phone numbers stop being 3 digits?

The older numbers had two or three digits. Later, four digits were used. In December 1920, as the phone company prepared for direct local dialing, all numbers became four digits. The older two- and three-digit numbers acquired four digits by adding one or two zeroes: Spring 255, say, would have become Spring 0255.Nov 14, 2008

That’s where I got the date range as 1900-1920….all I could come up with. The kids uniform also looked pretty-1920 to me

Very cool. Some of those recipes sound good a 100 years later.
