Family dinners are too few, and are great when you can put them together. Just hugging and talking is wonderful and we enjoyed each other, played great games, doted over the young great grandson, and ate too much. Too many snacks before dinner. Then meat , salad and potatoes. The 13# ribeye roast came out perfect!!! Dessert was eggnog cake, eggnog topping, and BlueBell ice cream.

This year the roast was so large (13#) I didn't want to overcook the cap. After seasoning, I flipped it over with the cap protected by the ribs, and re-tied it. Almost 5 hours at 225 degrees and it was perfect thru the entire thing. Very tender!!
